Control System Design

We can assist in development of system requirements for your application from the ground up.

Once system requirements are known, we can design and provide the control system for a single piece of equipment or a complete production line.

We excel in the research and development of new equipment to be used for automation.

We have designed systems to meet NEC, UL and CE approvals.

Our standard engineering package includes: all electrical and/or fluid schematics (using AutoCAD), wiring interconnection schedules, a major parts list, and all software required to program any controllers.

Systems Integration

Our designs can integrate components from various manufacturers into a control system for your machine or process. This approach helps provide optimum performance of the control system.

Where possible, we work with the machine or process designers, operations personnel, and maintenance technicians to incorporate all points of view into the design of the control system.

Using our vendors, we can also provide the control panels needed for your machine or production line. Integration continues with panel checkout and acceptance testing with the machine or process.

The systems integration approach is applied to a single machine, a complete manufacturing line or a process installation.

We are certified systems integrators for Cognex/DVT Cameras and Delta Tau motion controllers.

Training / Technical Support

Computrol has extensive experience at providing on-site customer training for control systems and basic computing skills. We have given training classes on five continents.

We are easily reached via phone, fax or e-mail and are always prompt in our support.

All control systems ship with a manual (on CD) detailing the proper operation of the equipment.

Whether or not we were involved in the design process, we can help you start up your equipment with experienced field engineers and electrical technicians. We are intimately familiar with issues surrounding the startup process, and can help you avoid crucial mistakes.

Software

We program PLCs, HMIs, Motion controllers, Process PID, and the communication links between them. We have no vendor-specific limitations.

We can set up data acquisition from a single device or a database for a full plant.

Computer languages with which we are familiar include, but are not limited to: Basic, QBasic, Visual Basic, C, C++, Visual C++, Assembler Language, Fortran, Pascal, Modula, Ladder Logic, SFC, Structured Text and IEC 61131-3.

Project Management

Given the specifications, we will get your automation project finished on time with a reasonable budget. We can coordinate your project on any level required, from a single piece of equipment to total line project management.

With an extensive network of subcontractors available, we can handle projects large and small.
